Does the recipient have to be a Globalist?

No. The point of the award is to provide the eligible stay’s in-hotel benefits without permanent Globalist status. Use the recipient’s own World of Hyatt membership and correct reservation details, then ask Hyatt to confirm the award is applied.

Does every Globalist have unlimited awards?

No. Guest of Honor appears in Hyatt’s Milestone Rewards, so check the actual award inventory rather than assuming an unlimited entitlement. The first listed award is available before the Globalist threshold. A status service does not by itself prove that separate awards have been earned. Current Milestone Reward schedule

Which booking and property details matter?

Confirm eligible rate or redemption, stay length, award expiry and property participation. Do not assume every form of award can be combined or applied after arrival. Homes & Hideaways expressly does not honour Guest of Honor benefits. Hyatt’s property-specific exclusion

Can I rely on a Guest of Honor award sold by a third party?

Hyatt’s ability to gift an eligible award is not proof that commercial resale is permitted. Before considering the Guest of Honor listing, have Hyatt confirm the proposed transfer and booking comply with the current terms. Do not purchase if the seller cannot explain the permitted mechanism.
