How is the breakfast benefit delivered?
At full-service Marriott brands you receive complimentary continental breakfast (or 1,000 points/day in lieu) at most properties. At lounge-equipped properties, lounge breakfast is the substitute. Marriott Convention hotels and resorts may offer a $25 F&B credit instead. Sheraton and Westin in the US almost always provide lounge access for Platinums.
Are suite upgrades guaranteed?
No — they're "subject to availability". Delivery rates vary widely by brand and property. The 5 Suite Night Award certificates are the guaranteed-suite mechanism: each one confirms a suite upgrade in advance for a specific stay.
How long does Platinum last?
Through 31 January 2028. Marriott's status year runs February to January, so this gives roughly 14 months of coverage. Renewal requires native qualification or another challenge.
