Lufthansa Senator is Lufthansa's second-highest published status tier — above Frequent Traveller, below the invitation-only HON Circle. It grants Star Alliance Gold recognition across all 25 member airlines and adds a benefit that sets it apart from every other Star Alliance Gold route: access to Lufthansa's First Class Lounges at Frankfurt and Munich — not the Business Class Senator Lounges, but the full First Class Lounges normally restricted to first-class ticket holders. Validity and the Miles&More Programme

Senator status is valid through 1 March 2028 — approximately 22 months of coverage at the time of purchase, making this one of the longer-validity airline status products available. Status applies to your Lufthansa Miles&More account. Miles earned during the Senator period accumulate as usual and do not expire while status is active. The Senator customer hotline provides a dedicated service line with measurably shorter wait times than standard support.

Processing typically takes 10–12 business days. The native Senator threshold requires 600 status miles plus a minimum number of Senator-eligible long-haul flights per year — a threshold that most travellers cannot reach without significant Lufthansa Group travel commitment. This service bypasses that requirement entirely.
