Qualifying-night decision worksheet

Know what each useful night would really cost.

Enter the qualifying nights you are short, what an actual stay would cost, and only the status benefits you conservatively expect to use. The ledger compares the three mattress-run packages currently advertised by LuxuryAscent.

Decision aid, not a qualification check. Package availability, eligibility, posting, and programme treatment must be confirmed before purchase. These are seller offers, not official hotel-programme fees, and no result or credit is guaranteed by this calculator.

Your assumptions

Build the comparison.

Defaults are illustrative: 10 nights short, a $150 nightly cash rate, $80 in taxes or other costs, and $600 of benefits you expect to use. Replace them with your own figures.

Optional actual-stay estimate

Use cash, points, or both if a booking combines them.

Illustrative comparison for 10 nights short. Estimated actual-stay cost $1,580.00. Benefits entered $600.00.

Package ledger

Compare every advertised size.

No package is marked “best.” A lower advertised average can still cost more per useful night when it creates excess nights. Benefit value and full-gap cost comparisons are withheld where a package leaves you short.

Illustrative comparison using the default assumptions shown in the form
Advertised package Total price Average / advertised night Useful nights Excess nights Shortfall Price / useful night Benefits − package cost Package vs stay-cost estimate
1 night $49.00 $49.00 1 0 9 nights $49.00 Gap not covered Not a full-gap comparison
10 nights $450.00 $45.00 10 0 0 nights $45.00 +$150.00 $1,130.00 below estimate
25 nights $999.00 $39.96 10 15 0 nights $99.90 −$399.00 $581.00 below estimate

The maths

What the calculator does—and does not do.

Actual-stay estimateNights short × (cash per night + points per night × your value per 1,000 ÷ 1,000) + taxes and other costs.

Useful and excess nightsUseful nights are the smaller of your shortfall and the package size. Excess nights are any advertised package nights above your shortfall.

Shortfall and useful-night costShortfall is the part of your gap a package does not cover. Price per useful night is package price ÷ useful nights, including any cost of overbuy.

Break-even statusConservative benefits you expect to use − package price. Here, the advertised package price is treated as the incremental cost. A positive figure is not a recommendation or a guaranteed return.

Price basis

Advertised seller packages.

The package prices below were checked on LuxuryAscent's public membership listings on 11 September 2026. They are seller offers, not official programme fees. Check the live listing for eligibility, current availability, delivery terms, and whether the activity will count for your specific target.

1 night$49 total$49.00 per advertised night
10 nights$450 total$45.00 per advertised night
25 nights$999 total$39.96 per advertised night
Before acting on the result

Confirm the programme's current qualification rules and your account eligibility independently. Bought nights should not be assumed to create award certificates, milestone benefits, or any other reward tied to how nights are earned. The calculator estimates cost; it does not verify fulfilment, qualification, or posting.
