Against the single-night benchmark, 10 nights at $49 would be $490, making the advertised package difference $40. For 25 nights, $1,225 minus $999 gives $226. That is an equal-quantity price comparison, not a reason to buy nights you do not need.
Calculate the cost of reaching your own goal
Imagine you need 10 more accepted qualifying nights and have no use for additional nights. The $450 package matches that quantity. Spending $999 instead raises your cost per useful night to $99.90, even though the larger package's advertised average is $39.96.
Now change the scenario to a genuine 25-night gap. The larger package becomes more relevant because all 25 nights would serve the target, provided they are eligible and credited. Its lower unit cost is meaningful in this case.
The useful formula is:
Total additional cost ÷ accepted nights that advance your intended goal
Include unavoidable fees or travel costs once you have a confirmed proposal. Do not divide by the advertised quantity while ignoring whether the nights can qualify.
Compare with stays you actually want
A short holiday or necessary work trip may provide accommodation you value as well as qualifying activity. A purchase made solely for status has to justify its entire cost through the additional result.
